What is Rugby 7s?

Rugby 7s is a high-speed variation of rugby designed for faster gameplay, increased scoring, and enhanced entertainment value. Rugby Sevens officially debuted as an Olympic Sport in 2016.

It is one of the fastest growing sports in the USA. 45 million rugby fans in the US (Largest rugby fan base worldwide). 28% of the US global population declare an interest in Rugby Sevens. 80,000 attendees at the 2018 Las Vegas Sevens and 100,000 at the 2018 RWC Sevens in San Francisco.

Strategic Position

The World RFL will be the first U.S. professional sports league built to capitalize on America’s newly legalized sports betting laws and live streaming platforms.

World RFL’s USA Rugby sanctioning agreement enables the RFL to integrate sports betting into the RFL’s League tournaments in the US without being subject to potential World Rugby commercial restrictions and fees.

Kevin Wynne has worked for 25 years in the sports and entertainment industries, including event production and marketing, sponsorships sales and activation, sales of television programming and digital media rights to broadcasters.

Gino Grajeda is an international sports executive with leadership experience across Olympic-recognized federations, national governing bodies, professional sports, and collegiate and interscholastic athletics. His career spans sports administration, coaching, education, and the development of major sporting events worldwide.
